A lot is going on now, and for me it makes it extremely difficult to concentrate on any one issue or course of action. As much as I wish we could focus on one thing at a time, probably each person must decide which matter to give their attention and effort. That must be enough.
The one thing that I think has to be kept in mind, reminded, broadcast, shared, discussed, is that we are in need of a fundamental change in the political structure of society. The system that we built, or that was built around us, is on the verge of failure, and while it can be shored up, it cannot be repaired. The best we could hope for by trying to replenish our existing system is to take it back to before it reached this point of failure, to allow it to reach the breaking point again.
Ultimately, we need to build a new social structure in which to live. It is not a quick prospect, not something to change overnight. But the sooner and more vocally we express this need, the better prepared we will be to bring it about.
