On Judicial Integrity

I feel the need to iterate on a matter that has been on my mind, but that I had been considering so obvious as to need no discussion.

A judge, justice, or other official within the judicial system must be recused from any case relating to the individual who appointed them to their position, because of the obvious conflict of interest present.

That much should go without saying, but I personally would go further as to say that judges (and hypothetically legislators, if it could be managed) should not be permitted to have any say over the drawing of district lines if they have any affiliation to a political party.

I think that this principle is a reasonable burden to place upon the judicial system and part of the bare minimum required to ensure fair and unbiased service.
